EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Backstage At ‘I Loved Lucy’ – The Arts Theatre London

I LOVED LUCY – The Arts Theatre – As the cast and crew ‘bumped in’ to The Arts Theatre, in London’s West end, preparing for their press night, John Bowles chatted with the writer of I Loved Lucy.  Lee Tannen knew Lucille Ball in her later years, developing a very close and social relationship.  It led to him chronicling the relationship in a book called I Loved Lucy that has been adapted into a very successful play.

Wanda Clark, who worked for Lucille Ball for nearly thirty years is visiting London to celebrate the opening of this West End transfer and catch up with Lee and the cast to rekindle her memories of the great Lucille Ball.

Sandra Dickinson and Matthew Scott in rehearsals for I Loved Lucy

Broadway star Matthew Scott, who recently appeared on broadway in An American In Paris, stars alongside Sandra Dickinson (who is playing Lucille Ball once again).  He is here in London for the season at The Arts Theatre.  Expectations are high following a sell-out season last year at The Jermyn Street Theatre.

This is a unique play that is not to be missed.  Sandra Dickinson’s performance in I Loved Lucy has garnered rave reviews.   We sat down with sandra Dickinson on set last year, when the play was at The Jermyn Street Theatre.
