Motown – The Musical – opened in the West End last year and has been enjoying a very successful run at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
Motown is written by the man himself, Berry Gordy, who is a central character in the history of Motown music and this musical adaptation of the story.
One artist to emerge as a stand out, in the production still playing at The Shaftesbury, is Lucy St Louis, who plays the very difficult role of music superstar, Diana Ross. Lucy won unanimous praise in the press and very quickly became a focus of much attention.
Stage Door Johnny – John Bowles – visited Lucy backstage in her dressing room between a matinee and evening performance where she spoke candidly about the show, working with Berry Gordy and playing the divine Diana Ross.
